Kitchen Organization: Storage Wizardry For Your Kitchen.

Kitchen organization tools are always at the top of my wish list. Now that KBIS 2015 just closed its doors, the annual Kitchen and Bath show was again full of new offerings to get the most organization out of every inch of counter and cabinet space in the kitchen. If clutter-free countertops is your goal, these new products have come to save the day. These are a few of my favorites: drawers always win in my book for optimal storage, but these full depth dividers- in this case in a double width drawer- pack quite a punch.

And for those with a fear of commitment, these combination dowel and panel modules from Richelieu offer endless flexibility.

And I love this slim drawer organizer placed under a cooktop: it has the configuration to organize the basic tools used every day, from cooking utensils, 10 commonly used spices, even day to day cutlery.

And who in this world would not want more countertop space in their kitchen: how much more you ask? Well if you can stack a countertop on another one and hinge with with amazingly smooth slides, you can have twice as much for the same overall space- even place it on top of an induction cooktop if you want!

Now for the larger spaces, those troublesome blind corners and deep pantries,

Hafele offers a range of high end effortless gliding options from individual shelves to full height pantries. Here, blind corner units can be stacked, shelving units illuminated via motion sensors, and the old Lazy Susan gets a facelift as she loses its central pole : now it can house very large platters and cookware.

And last but not least, every upper cabinet featured used the Servo hinge- Blum make a great option- for operation: one simple push lifts the door out of the way. Then the “pièce de résistance”: this upper cabinet insert by Rev-a-Shelf will even lower the shelf and its contents at the push of a button, creating universal access for upper cabinets.
